Billed as both one of the toughest triathlons in UK, but is also one of the most stunning, the Snowman Triathlon which takes place in Plas y Brenin in Capel Curig and promises true challenge. The 750m open water swim takes place in Llyn Mymbyr, the 69 km road cycle is a circular route through Llanfrothen and up ‘the wall’ to Rhyd, whilst the 9km mountain run is to the summit of the stunning Moel Siabod, providing unmatched views to Snowdon and the surrounding mountains.
For those looking for a shorter option, but still with plenty of early winter challenge there’s the option for the 400m swim, 31km bike and 5km run.
Places on the ever-popular Snowman Triathlon are limited so booking early is always recommended.
