Taking place in Kent, this is a provisional date for the diary with the Thanet Mountain Bike Duathlon run in memory of John Flitch, a Thanet Roadrunner AC member; all profits will go to local charity. The club bill this as their toughest event with 2.4mile road run, followed by a 7.5mile MTB across the marshes and then a 4.5mile cross country run – something for everyone. It’s traffic-free and both runs are single-lap.
The event offers chip timing, goody bags, memento and winners’ prizes and a field limited to 200. Team Entry is catered for with either 2 people (one runner and one cyclist) or 3 people, with one athlete completing each stage.
Individual entry to the Thanet Mountain Bike Duathlon is £30, £45 for two-person team entry and £50 for a three-person team. Places permitting there will be entry on the day at an additional £5.
